  5. Committee Issue Summary

  6. Issues Over 12 Months Old • Billing Committee: • 1182 - Unique Identification for Each Industry Segment Representative. • This issue has been referred to the joint OBF & NIIF Committees in order to determine an industry-wide solution. • 1548 - Billing Verification Process in an Unbundled Environment. • Although the issue had been sent to initial closure, new problems have been determined which resulted in removing the issue from initial closure and referring to the MECAB Subcommittee to work. • 1655 - Creating and Maintaining Additional Industry Standard Formats for Bill Rendering of Access Service and Other Connectivity. • This issue is being worked by the 1655 Task Force Group.

  7. Issues Over 12 Months Old • Billing Committee (Cont.) • 1667 - Exchange of Unbundled Information. • This issue is being worked by the MECAB Subcommittee. • 1690 - Notification of Interconnecting Billing Information to the ULEC. • This issue is being worked by the MECAB Subcommittee.

  8. Issues Over 12 Months Old • Directory Services Committee: • 1482 - Combining DSR and LSOG • This issue will be worked for LSOG v6 release. Due to the major changes in LSOG v5 and the fact that this is an issue to streamline a process, rather than define a new one, the committee decided it was not a high priority issue. • 1634 - Correct Use Of ATN/EATN. • This issue is planned for initial closure at interim DSC/O&P/TOR meeting prior to OBF #70. • 1711 - Identify Fields Necessary to Support DA Platforms • This is a complex issue being worked by a task force. • 1788 – Standard Directory Change Request. • Issue being worked at each General Session meeting with an expected resolution by mid-2000.

  9. Issues Over 12 Months Old • Message Processing Committee: • 1408 - Billing Validation Databases (BVDB) and AMA Support for LNP. • 1752 - Alphanumeric RAO Return from LIDB. • 1837 - BVDB Support for Local Resale and UNE • These issues are being worked together by the Local Competition Task Force. The inclusion of the RAO on the LSR is being pursued by the O&P Committee (Issue 1825). The MPC will send a letter to the LIDB Product Team requesting that they reserve the BSP field for RAO and that formatting requirements will be sent after the joint O&P/MPC meeting to be held in March (tentative).

  10. Issues Over 12 Months Old • Message Processing Committee (Cont.): • 1496 - Line Level Database. • This Issue, along with associated Billing Issue 1182, is driving the development of a Line Level Database, which, if developed, will help to resolve many of the Billing and Message Exchange Issues that have evolved since the advent of local competition. A group of Message Processing and Billing Committee SMEs have developed Database requirements and submitted them as an RFI to the vendor community. Ten vendors submitted responses which were favorable and indicated that such a database was technically viable. Approval was given by both the Message Processing and Billing Committees for the SME group to pursue an RFP. • 1704 - Common Terminology for “Type of Company”. • The Message Processing Committee agreed on a revised list of "Type of Company" values. EMI Module 018A was updated with a revised Module Description and Module Field definitions, including new definitions for "Type of OCN", "OCN", and new "Type of Company" values and definitions that are consistent with the Message Processing Committee's assignment needs. This Issue was placed into Initial Closure.

  11. Issues Over 12 Months Old • Message Processing Committee (Cont.): • 1806 - Reseller Identification in Exchange Message. • 1818 - Identification of 101XXXX Dialed Digits. • Issues 1806 and 1818 are being worked together. Several Action Items were assigned to the Committee, the answers to which should help to determine the resolution to these Issues. • 1811 - Review of EMI Glossary. • Documentation that reflects deleted acronyms for which there are no definitions, is expected to be provided at the next OBF by the Issue Champion. It is expected that the Issue will go to Initial Closure at that time. • 1819 - 1000 Block Number Pooling Impact on TPM. • The target date for including Number Pooling data on the LERG is April 1, 2000, and for the TPM July 15, 2000. The Committee agreed to leave the Issue open in order to monitor the progress.

  12. Issues Over 12 Months Old • Message Processing Committee (Cont.): • 1820 - Cleanup of EMI Document Inconsistencies. • A single updated document that reflects the EMI changes will be reviewed at the next OBF. This Issue could go into Initial Closure at that time. • 1836 - DACC Charges - Rated Records • Strong opposition to the proposed changes still remains. The Issue Champion will host a conference call in an effort to move the Issue forward. • 1838 - Consistent Use of Company Code in EMI Document • Draft documentation to capture the relationship between company codes/OCNs in the field definitions and glossary sections of the EMI will be presented at the next OBF.
