  4. Applications Submitted to NIH • Approximately 45,000 grant applications are submitted to NIH each year. • CSR is responsible for the review of over half of these applications.

  5. CSR Reorganization Initiatives • Examination and re-organization of CSR study sections based on: • integration of review activities of NIMH, NIAAA, and NIDA • alignment of CSR initial review groups and study sections with current trends in science
