This semester, we will delve into an essential question: "What does literature say about us as human beings? Are humans good or evil?" Students are invited to set personal expectations and articulate how they wish to grow as learners. The course includes a combination of classic texts, film clips, and lively discussions, culminating in a documentary-style final project inspired by National Geographic. Throughout, we will connect literary themes to contemporary issues while encouraging thoughtful reflection through reaction papers and collaborative learning.
