We have already seen during the past year, change is coming with the NCAA. • Football is leading the way. • Conferences all want to have a conference championship game, which can bring in an extra $15-20 million for the conference. • The BCS conferences have had all the power and in the future with this expansion and realignment, they will have even more. • There will be 4 super conferences. • 2014 there will be a 4 team playoff – but that too will change Why we are here?

  12. “Big 4” Conferences “Little 4” Conferences Champion – Playoff 7-5 record - bowl game • Top 3 Teams – Playoff • 7-5 record – bowl game • The bowl games will stay • Reward for season • Big money paid out • Extra 15 practices – key for player development • The playoff will be extremely lucrative and lead to the change from 4 teams to 16 teams Post-Season

Computers to seed 16 teams to be played at bowl site • Will start a week after the conference championship games and run on each Saturday, ending on SuperBowl Saturday • First round sites • Outback, Alamo, Liberty, Sun, Holiday, Insight, Champs, and Las Vegas • Quarterfinals • Fiesta, Cotton, Gator, and Capital One • Semifinals • Sugar and Orange • Championsip Game • Rose Playoffs

  14. 20 bowl games are left • 10 Bowl games will be played by the “Big 4” teams • 10 Bowl games will be played by the “Little 4” • Each team will be required to have a record of at least 7-5 instead of the current 6-6 • Will be played Tuesday and Thursday during the playoffs Bowl Games
