Nominating Process • Each chapter has one delegate and one alternate • Only the delegate is allowed to vote for the chapter
Region IX Caucus • Friday morning, 7:00 to 8:15 a.m. • Breakfast will be served • Saturday morning, 7:00 to 8:15 a.m. • Breakfast will be served • Delegates and alternates only may attend the caucus as we will be in executive session during the meeting
Region IX Caucus • As we are in executive session, all discussions within the session are completely private, not to be shared with anyone for any reason
The Importance of the Caucus • Identifies and promotes the future leaders of ASHRAE • At the Society level • At the Regional level

Purpose of the Caucus • Nominate candidates to Society BOD and Officers • Nominate candidates for Region IX offices • RVC of Student Activities & DRC • Need 2nd and 3rd choices for all positions! • Nominate candidates for Society, Regional and Chapter Awards

Nomination for Personal Awards • Nominations for Personal Awards for General Society Activities must be submitted in electronic format (pdf) and should include: • The nominee’s current ASHRAE Biographical Record that clearly addresses his/her specific contributions • A digital photograph of the nominee • A DSA/ESA Point Tally Sheet is required for nominations for the Distinguished Service and Exceptional Service Awards.
Personal Honors • Fellow: This award honors ASHRAE members who have attained distinction in the fields of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or the allied arts and sciences through invention, research, teaching, design, original work, or as an engineering executive on projects of unusual or important scope. The individual must have made substantial contributions and have been a full grad member in good standing for at least ten years prior to the date of their election. • Nomination Deadline: December 1
