In Spanish, demonstrative adjectives are essential for describing people and things. Unlike English, which has only four (this, that, these, those), Spanish has eight forms, reflecting gender and number. These adjectives precede the nouns they modify and align with the gender of the noun. Use "este" (this, masculine), "esta" (this, feminine), "estos" (these, masculine), and "estas" (these, feminine) for objects close to the speaker. Conversely, use "ese" (that, masculine), "esa" (that, feminine), "esos" (those, masculine), and "esas" (those, feminine) for objects farther away.
