Engaging Dribbling Drills for Ages 6 & 7: Week 2 Command Training

In this Week 2 training session for ages 6 and 7, players will focus on enhancing their dribbling skills through a variety of dynamic and engaging drills. The session includes toe touches to improve ball control, the Knock Out game to foster agility and competitive spirit, and a Moving Circle exercise to practice dribbling in traffic. Coaches will be actively involved, giving commands that keep players engaged and moving while developing their soccer skills in a fun, supportive environment.

  3. WEEK #2 KNOCK OUT Ages 6 & 7 The player’s dribble inside the practice area. Dribble to open areas. The coach picks two players to knock the balls out of the area. If the players ball gets kicked out of the area, have them do 10 toe touches to return to the game. On the coaches whistle try to kick the balls out of the area. C

  4. WEEK #2 KNOCK OUT Ages 6 & 7 The player’s dribble inside the practice area. Dribble to open areas. The coach picks two players to knock the balls out of the area. If the players ball gets kicked out of the area, have them do 10 toe touches to return to the game. On the coaches whistle try to kick the balls out of the area. C

  5. WEEK #2 MOVING CIRCLE Ages 6&7 Whistle On the whistle the players dribble to the center cone, pull the ball back and dribble back to their cone. Goal of the drill is to dribble in traffic. On the next whistle the players dribble to the cone to their left. C
