History of St DavidHe is the patron Saint of WalesHe was the heart of the Welsh church in the 6th CenturyHe came from an aristocratic family in WalesHis mother was a Saint (Saint Non) later the word Non became NunHis teacher was also a Saint- St PaulinusHe founded a large Monastery in WalesHe helped spread Christianity among pagan Celtic Tribes in Western BritainHe became Archbishop of WalesHis shrine became a place of pilgrimage
The Leek Legend says St David ordered his soldiers to wear leeks in their helmets during a battle against the Saxons. In 1536 brave Welsh Archers fought in fields of leeks.
Cawl is a Welsh meal. In modern Welsh the word is used to refer to a traditional Welsh soup
In P3 we made some Cawl This soup contains different vegetables; Leeks, potatoes, onions. Here we are chopping and preparing the ingredients for our soup. It tasted yummy!!!!
