Scoring Guide Basics • 4 point scale • Reporting Topics aligned with the Missouri Grade Level Expectations – GLEs • Elementary uses a standards-based report card • Academic and Non-Academic scores • Developed in collaboration with Dr. Robert Marzano Target Learning Goal Traditional Focus of Instruction

  4. Feedback Along the Way • Plus/Delta each training • Review each question • Compact into themes • Send teachers a FAQs sheet • Quick Reference, Quick Read & Quick Practice • Principals • Instructional Coaches

  5. Assessment Task Development • Training all teachers to be quality controllers • Sample assessment tasks for all reporting topics and performance levels (2.0, 3.0 & 4.0) will be available through district intranet • Teacher tools and resources will be shared via district intranet

Refinement Process Now & Future • Content teams are: • refining 2.0 & 3.0 performance levels and example assessment tasks • writing 4.0 performance levels and refining 4.0 example assessment tasks • aligning BAV (academic vocabulary lists) with scoring guides • Teams will reconvene annually to review and refine
