E-Reps Forum 2013 Industry Update 2012/13 Inspection Findings • 72 Inspections (Sep ‘12 – Aug ‘13) • 51 Production / 21 Drilling • 8 regulatory breaches / inspection average • 2 – 15 regulatory breaches on every production inspection (except 1) • Majority could be prevented by proper awareness of allconcerned
E-Reps Forum 2013 Industry Update EC Directive • The European Directive on safety of offshore oil and gas operations has now been adopted • The UK (DECC, HSE, etc.) will have to implement the Directive by 19 July 2015 • Non-production installations, including Mobile Drilling Units, well operations and planned production installations will have up to 12 months to meet requirements • Transitional arrangements for existing production installation will commence in 2015 and must be completed by 19th July 2018
