  1. Testing Services Informed Budget Process: FY 2013 IBP Progress Report & FY 2014 IBP Budget Request

  2. FY 2013 IBP Progress ReportFor Projects Funded July 1, 2012 • None received

  3. FY 2014 Base Request • Project Title: Assistant Director, Manager I • Core Theme / Strategic Priority Supported: Enhance QualityHigher Education by providing excellent supervision and training to front line staff at the Jordan and South City Campuses. • Dollars Requested: Grade 16 salary and benefits $69,089 - $72,424 • Justification: Jordan Testing Services has no full-time supervision but an increasing workload. This person would also work with SCC Testing which has no manager. • Project Outcome Measurements: Staff would be better trained and managed, so offering better service to students.

  4. FY 2014 One-Time Request • No one time money requested

  5. FY 2014 Remodel Request • Project Title: Remodel of open lab South City W285 • Core Theme / Strategic Priority Supported: Improve student Access and Success. Remodeling W285 into an area that could be jointly used by SAT Testing, Testing Services and DRC would provide students with better service for testing needs and more access to disability services. • Dollars Requested: $200,000 (est) • Justification: Testing Services is adding admissions TABE and CASAS testing for SAT students. With only one check in station in W291, the student check in process is being bottle-necked. The SAT check-in process takes a bit longer than the Accuplacer check-in process. SAT testing is in a very small space and could use more.

  6. FY 2014 Remodel Request • Justification Continued: The DRC has no private testing room facilities at SCC and this would give them space to have at least one. The current open computer lab is underutilized and a repurposing of the space would be of more benefit to students. • Project Outcome Measurements: The number of students testing without a wait would increase and the DRC would no longer have to find empty classrooms to use for private room testing.
