Overview • Predatory sea-dwelling animals • Named after the anemone, the terrestrial flower • Related to corals and jellyfish • Have stinging tentacles • Carnivores • Clownfish are able to survive stinging
Anatomy The anatomy of a sea anemone is very different than other sea creatures. It has stinging tentacles and it looks like an underwater flower. They all have polyp at the end of their only foot that makes them stand. They can have between a few 10 to a few 100 tentacles. The mouth of it is in the middle of the stinging tentacles.
