  1. “What Must I Do To Be Saved?”

  2. Must Not Change God’s Words • (Deuteronomy 4:2) "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (NKJV)

  3. Must Abide in the Doctrine of Christ • (2 John 9) Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (NKJV)

  4. No Divisions • (1 Corinthians 1:10) Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (NKJV)

  5. Paul Taught the Same Things Everywhere • (1 Corinthians 4:17) For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church. (NKJV)

  6. Confusion Not God’s Fault • (1 Corinthians 14:33) For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. (NKJV)

  7. Study & Effort Required • (2 Timothy 2:15) Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (KJV) • (Philippians 2:12) Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; (NKJV)

  8. Prayer Alone Cannot Save • (John 9:31) "Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. (NKJV)

  9. Do Not Trust • (Acts 26:9-15) "Indeed, I myself thought I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. "This I also did in Jerusalem, and many of the saints I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them. "And I punished them often in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities. "While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, "at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. "And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' "So I said, 'Who are You, Lord?' And He said, 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. (NKJV)

  10. (1 Corinthians 4:6) Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. (NKJV)

  11. (Matthew 23:13) "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. (NKJV)

  12. Intellectual Honesty • (2 Thessalonians 2:10) and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (NKJV)

  13. In the beginning man lived in harmony with God • (Genesis 1:31) Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (NKJV)

  14. One Rule • (Genesis 2:16-17) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." (NKJV)

  15. Man’s Punishment • (Genesis 3:19) In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return." (NKJV)

  16. God’s Promise • (Genesis 3:15) And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." (NKJV)

  17. God Redeems Man, Fulfills His Promise • (Hebrews 9:12) Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. (NKJV)

  18. God Redeems Man, Fulfills His Promise • (Romans 5:18-19) Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. (NKJV)

  19. “When” Persecutions Come • (Matthew 5:11) "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. (NKJV)

  20. God Wants You to Be Saved! • (1 Timothy 2:4) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (NKJV)

  21. Jesus: The Only Way • (John 14:6) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (NKJV)

  22. Must Hear • (Romans 10:17) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (NKJV)

  23. Must Believe in Jesus • (John 8:24) "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." (NKJV)

  24. Must Repent • (Luke 13:3) "I tell you, no; but unless you repentyou will all likewise perish. (NKJV)

  25. Must Confess Jesus as Lord • (Romans 10:10) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (NKJV)

  26. Must Be Baptized to Wash Sins Away • (Acts 22:16) 'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.' (NKJV)

  27. (1 Corinthians 12:13) For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. (NKJV) • (Colossians 1:18) And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (NKJV) • (Ephesians 5:23) For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. (NKJV)

  28. Baptism: Puts one “into Christ” • (Galatians 3:27) For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (NKJV)

  29. Baptism: Saves Us • (1 Peter 3:20-21) who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, (NKJV)

  30. Baptism: Burial & Resurrection w/Jesus • (Colossians 2:12) buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. (NKJV)

  31. Man Can Lose His Salvation • (Galatians 5:4) You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. (NKJV)

  32. God Demands True Worship • (John 4:24) "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (NKJV) • (John 17:17) "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. (NKJV)

  33. Must Not Forsake Assembling (Sinful) • (Hebrews 10:22-25) let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (NKJV)

  34. Good reasons I could not obey the gospel right at this moment: • ____________________________________ • ____________________________________ • _____________________________________

  35. Life Is So Short; Tomorrow Uncertain • (James 4:14) whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. (NKJV)

  36. Make Heaven Rejoice! • (Luke 15:10) "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (NKJV)
