  4. 1. The Lord’s Supper requires an explanation. • (a) In taking of this bread and cup you are preaching a sermon: “proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” • (b) In taking this bread and cup you are painting a picture of Jesus’ broken body and shed blood. This is symbolic.

All read: Psalm 51:1-4 “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight.”
