  2. General Information • 320 students • Daycare and Preschool • Double section building • Three Levels of Special Education • 1.5 Reading Specialists, inc. Reading Recovery • Not a Title I building due to Free and Reduced percentage

  3. 1. Student Study Team • All students who are not proficient on ITBS will have Level A accommodations in place by February of testing year. • All students who are not proficient on ITBS will have Level B accommodations (SST) in place by May 1st of testing year. • If/then document implemented • Mrs. Kelly Kelley oversees and organizes

  4. Students on an SST • As of 11-15-10, we have 26 students on SST • 1 student has both reading and math • 1 student has SST for advancement • 2 students have SST for behavior • Total of seven teams of four teachers • Referring teacher is “case manager” • One meeting time per month built in to schedule • Teams create specific & measurable goals for students

  5. Examples MATH: Student will score 70% or higher on assessed assignments and tests for 3 consecutive chapters READING: Student will read 25 wpm on a 2nd grade reading probe with 90% accuracy BEHAVIOR: Student will receive 3 or fewer tallies per week for 3 consecutive weeks

Data Teams • Familiarity with SST process has helped us to easily transition to Data Teams… • Like an SST for your entire class or grade level • Data Team document replaces Team Feedback Sheet which was formerly submitted • Most teams are starting with spelling or math goal due to “black and white” content

  7. Data Team Smart Goal • Goal: The percentage of ______ students who are proficient in ______ will increase from _____ to _____ as measured by _____ administered on _____. Example • The percentage of 1st grade students who are proficient in ending consonant sounds will increase from 87% to 95% by Nov. 30th as measured by the October common assessment, page 2.

  14. 8. Special Needs Programs • Three different levels • Level I – Resource • Mrs. Kendra Yaddof • Level II – Self-Contained with Integration • Mrs. Stephanie Dougherty • Level III – Including students with autism • Mrs. Bridget Robbins • ABA and ABLLS

  15. 9. Technology • New Mac Lab, replaces 8 year old lab • Wireless Lab w/22 lap tops • Promethean Boards in grades 4-6, and Library • Ongoing training • Mrs. N. Youngbauer • TAG, Future Problem Solving, Battle of the Books, Spelling Bee, AS Website, MA program
