2012 Committee Tasks • Develop standard effectiveness measures for conservation actions used to address nationwide fish habitat focus areas. • Develop and initiate implementation of a strategy to refine the 2010 National Fish Habitat Assessment (Assessment) for 2015 and beyond. • Develop and submit a Multistate Conservation Grant (MSCG) Pre-proposal and Proposal (if requested) to fund the Science and Data Strategy.

Data System Phase 2 Resources: • FY13 USGS Core Science Analytics & Synthesis providing system architect and developer • FY13 USGS Core Science Analytics & Synthesis providing data repository manager to work with FHPs for the next 7 months
2013 Science and Data Priorities – Without Resources • Incorporation of connectivity, hydrology, and fish and mussel data into the Inland Assessment • Requesting $300,000 for 2 FTEs and multiple workshops • Incorporation of connectivity, hydrology, and fish and mussel data along with new analytical approaches into the Marine Assessment • Requesting $150,000 for 2.0 FTEs
2013 Science and Data Priorities – Without Resources • Development of standardized effectiveness measures for FHP connectivity projects including incorporating fine-scale FHP data • Requesting $206,000 for 2 FTEs • Development and attribution of socioeconomics data into the Assessment • Requesting $100,000 for contracted staff
