  4. TMB Member ประกอบด้วย สมาชิกที่มาจากเลือกตั้ง ประธาน + สมาชิกอัตโนมัติ + Vice-President 8ประเทศ Germany France UK USA To be eligible for appointment, a member must hold at least one TC or SC secretariat. 

  5. ขั้นตอนการเลือกตั้ง • การเสนอชื่อ • ประเทศสมาชิกเสนอชื่อผู้สมัครเข้ารับการเลือกตั้งแทนตำแหน่งที่ว่าง • ประเทศที่จะเข้ารับการเลือกตั้งต้องได้เสียงสนับสนุนอย่างน้อย 3 ประเทศ • การเลือกตั้ง • คณะมนตรีจะออกเสียงเลือกตั้งโดยพิจารณาจากประโยชน์จากการเข้าเป็นสมาชิกTMB,Geographical balance และindustrial diversity

TMBทำอะไร • To report and advise Council concerning technical work of ISO • To examine proposals for new field of technical activities and decide on establishment/dissolution of technical committees • Monitoring of the work of technical committees • Approval of titles, scopes and programme of work • Allocation/reallocation of secretariats

TMBทำอะไร(ต่อ) • To appoint Chairmen • Appeal against technical committees and subcommittee action • To appoint registration authorities agencies for the implementation of international standards • To establish/dissolve committees on general standardization principle and appoint chairmen • To establish/dissolve Technical Advisory Groups • To keep ISO/IEC Directives for review

Report and advise Council Council resolution 8/2007 Thanks the Chair of the Technical Management Board, Mrs.Ziva Patir, for her comprehensive and interesting report on the current activities of the TMB. Notes with satisfaction the decision by the TMB to clarify the types of bodies forming part of ISO’s structure with the addition of Project Committees and confirms that, when applying the criteria for election to Council and the TMB, involvement of member bodies in project committees will be considered as equivalent to that in TCs and SCs.

  10. Examine proposals for new field of technical activities Establishment of ISO/TC 238 Solid biofuels The Technical Management Board approves the establishment on a provisional basis of the new technical committee Solid biofuels as ISO/TC 238 and allocates the secretariat to SIS (Sweden), and notes that the new TC will be required, in accordance with TMB Resolution 43/2001, to submit within a maximum of 18 months a draft business plan for review by the TMB

  11. Dissolution of technical committees Disbandment of ISOPC 233 Cleaning services The Technical Management Board, Noting the recommendation from ISOPC 233 that the work item be cancelled, Disbands the committee.

  12. Monitoring of the work of technical committees ISO/TC 123 and ISO/TC 156 The Technical Management Board, Noting the performance and activity levels of the secretariats of ISO/TC 123 Plain bearings and ISO/TC 156 Corrosion of metals, Further noting the efforts by ISO CS to communicate with the secretariats and the lack of response, Decides to canvas the ISO committeememberships for offers to replace the secretariats.

  13. Approval of titles, scopes, programme of works Scope of ISO/TC 228 Tourism and related services Confirms the scope of the TC as it was agreed during The ISO member body vote: Standardization of the terminology and specifications of the services.……………………………………………………………… Asks the TC to submit a Business Plan for the work by September 2007.

  14. Allocation/re-allocation of secretariats Re-allocation of the secretariat of ISO/TC 164/SC 2 The Technical Management Board, Noting the offer from AFNOR (France) and JISC (Japan) to undertake the secretariat of ISO/TC 164/SC 2 Mechanical testing metals/Ductility testing are of equal quality Re-allocates the secretariat to JISC on the grounds that it holds fewer secretariats, And thanks AFNOR for its offer.

  15. Appointment of Chairmen TC Chairpersons The Technical Management Board, Appoints the following chairpersons of the respective technical committees for the terms as indicates below: ISO/TC 54 Mr. A. Bordas (Spain) 2007-2009 ISO/TC 74 Mr. M. Deiort (France) 2007-2010 ISO/TC 96 Mr. J. Wrat (United Kingdom) 2007-2009 ISO/TC 163 Prof. Em. A. Elmroth (Sweden) 2007-2009

Appoint registration authorities agencies Registration authority for ISO 15031 Part 2, 5 and 6 Appoints SAE as the Registration Authority for ISO 10531 Road vehicles – Communication between vehicle and external equipment for emission-related diagnostics Part 2 : Terms, definitions, abbreviations and acronyms Part 5 : Emission-related diagnostic services Part 6 : Diagnostic trouble code definitions หมายเหตุSAE = Society of Automotive Engineer (USA)

  17. Establish/dissolve committees on general standardizationand appoint chairmen ISO/PC 239 Network service billing Technical Management Board. Noting the offer from SII (Israel) to undertake the secretariat of the Project Committee on network services billing, Further noting the nomination by KATS (Korea) for the Chair, Allocate the secretariat to SII and appoint Prof. Song as the chair.
