Vocabulary • Trigger Image-A trigger image is an image that when detected, an overlay will appear. • Overlay-Overlays are images, videos, animations or even 3D models that appear when Aurasmarecognizes a trigger image. • Channels- • Public-visible to all users of Aurasma • Private-visible to those that the link has been shared.

  17. Create an Aura • Upload a trigger image. • Upload an overlay image or video. • Create a channel for your Auras. • Add the finished Aura to your channel.

  18. Lesson Ideas • Book Trailers – Students would create a book trailer about why other students should read a book. A picture of the book would be the marker. • Classroom Rules – Students could create a video demonstrating class/school rules the markers could be a picture of the rule. • Staff Members (Principal, Assistant Principal, Nurse, Secretary) would create a video introducing themselves. Students could scan the marker to “meet” the staff member.

  19. More Lesson Ideas • Mini-Lessons – This could be a station. A student could scan a problem and a video of the teacher teaching the concept would appear. • Science Fair – Students would create a video of their science experiment and the marker would be next to the project so that others could scan and listen to the students presentation. • Virtual Museum – Students could create a virtual museum of famous historians. A marker for each person could be hung in a hallway and then other students could scan the marker to watch a video on the person.

The marker could be a picture of the equipment. • Science Labs-Students can create a video on a science lab. The marker could be an element from the lab. • Lone Star Book Review - Create book trailer video in Animoto. Picture of book as the marker.
