  3. Absalom's Plot Against His Father • Step 1: Create an Appearance of Royalty • Step 2: Create a Good Rapport • Step 3: Create and Propagate the Idea of Change • Step 4: Send in “Spies” to Reinforce this Idea

The Aftermath of the Plot • (vs. 12) “...the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.” • (vs. 13) “The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom” • David and his men had to flee Jerusalem (vs. 14) • Absalom was able to deceive the nation of God • What about today? Are their “Absalom's” today trying to dethrone the King of God's people?

  6. Conclusion • No Matter how prestigious one is – Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords, we must put our trust in Him • No Matter how well on compliments your situation – God's word is the Clear Mirror • No Matter how popular a way is – God's way will get you to heaven
