  3. Google Sketchup What is it? • Sketchup is an easy to use 3D modelling program, used to design buildings, cars, and landscapes. • Key Features: • Simple to use • Add a location • Easy to export

  8. The Tools • Drawing tools – • Viewing tools – • Component tool – • Control tools –

  9. Your Task: • You are going to use the software to create a Lego brick. Try to get it as accurate as possible, thinking about each individual component. • Remember to build it from the bottom up, and think about each step you are going to take before you start. • Ext: Choose an item from the ‘Box of Mystery’, then try to create it. Beware! Some of them are more difficult than others.

Review Save your work and close all programs. • With the person next to you review the software we have just used: • Who might use it? • Was it easy to use? • What did you like about it? • If you had longer what could you produce? Homework! Use the school computers or download Sketchup from Google. Have a practice at home and see how creative you can get. Save what you have done, then attach them to an email and send to me. Due: 1st week back after ½ term.
