  4. Chana Dal Vada • This is a most common and popular tasty, crispy, crunchy fried snack made from chana dal. • Begin by soaking washed chana dal in water for about two hours and then drain the water completely. • Grind it to a coarse mixture without adding water and add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander, ginger and salt to it. • Mix the mixture and make vadas and deep fry it in medium hot oil. They taste good with coconut chutney and also tomato ketchup.

Poha Cutlet • An easy to prepare Poha cutlet recipe helps to make yummy cutlets with a cup of soaked and drained beaten rice or poha mixed with boiled and smashed potatoes, chopped onion and coriander, little maida, turmeric, red chilly, garam masala and dry mango powder and salt. • Cutlets formed from this mixture are coated with bread crumbs and shallow fried in a pan on medium flame till crisp and golden brown on either side. • It can be served as an healthy evening or tea time snack with sauce or tomato ketchup.

Spicy Corn Chaat • Corn Chaat is a spicy snack, easy and quick to prepare and liked by most of them. • Start with stir frying corn kernels with little oil in a frying pan for about 5 minutes. • Once it cools down to room temperature add bell pepper, tomato, green chillies, ginger and lemon juice, coriander leaves, black pepper,black salt, roasted cumin seed powder, chilly powder, chat masalaand salt to taste. Mix well and serve as a tasty evening snack.

RavaUttapam • RavaUttapam a well known South Indian dish can be instantly prepared with no grinding and fermentation but only soaking rava or sooji for about 20 minutes , adding yogurt, Eno (fruit salt) or baking soda, salt and mixing it with water to form a thick batter. • Prepare Uttapam by pouring the batter evenly on a heated non stick pan and on the top add finely chopped onion, tomatoes and green chillies. • Fry the Uttapam on both sides till they have turned light brown and serve delicious Uttapam with coconut chutney.
