  1. Warwick Castle NCE Mr. Vincent

  2. This is a movie I made in Movie Maker.

  3. Earls of Warwick • The first earl That ever came to Warwick Castle was Henry De Newburgh. • One of the most famous earls is Richard Neville. He was also known as the Kingmaker. • The reason he is called the Kingmaker is because he put some kings on the throne by winning battles determining power.

  4. Ghost Tower • The Ghost Tower was not a ghost tower until one of the Earls was murdered. • The Earls name was Sir Fulke Greville. He was murdered by one of his servants named Ralph Haywood. • The two men got in an argument over the amount of money the servant would get in his master’s will. • Haywood drew a knife and stabbed his master then when he realized what he did and stabbed himself. • 28 days later Sir Fulke Greville died. No matter what the doctors did nothing worked. • It is said that the ghost still walks around at night and scares anyone who goes there.

  5. Peacock Garden • The Peacock symbolizes wealth and riches so when someone had a Peacock Garden it meant that they were rich. • Peacock Gardens usually have bushes in the shape of Peacocks or fountains with stone carved into huge peacocks.

  6. Pageant Field • The Pageant Field was used for any tournaments that the Castle might have such as archery or horse racing. • The Pageant Field has trees on each side. On the south-east there is a clump of trees that was planted by Prince Albert of Whales and Queen Victoria also one for the beginning of a new year.

  7. The Mill • The Mill is the place that makes all the electricity for the entire Castle. • In the 12th century the Mill was one hundred yards away from were it is now. • In the 14th century it was remodeled to be made of stone. • The reason that it was rebuilt out of stone was because if they were in a battle and they broke the mill they would have a less chance of winning.

  8. Trebuchet • The trebuchet was used if they were invading a castle. • They would usually set something on fire and throw it at the castle. • A trebuchet is kind of like a sling shot it was used to either to harm someone or knock down walls.
