  1. YOUTH CULTURE By: Jonna Maaranen

  2. SCHOOL Most of the swedishteenagers go toschooltoday, butsomeofthem play truant and don’tcareabout it at all. It’simportantto go to the school, beacuseyouneedto get goodgrades in order to do get a funny and goodjob. Manyyoungpeoplethinkthatschool is boring, includingme, sometimes. In the Swedish schools the codeofconduct is not thatstrict. Wecanhaveourownclothes and wecanhaveanyhairstylewe like. This is my school, the mainpremice and PE hall in the background

  3. CLOTHES AND FASHION Here the young do not haveanyparticular style i.e. we dress in whatwethink is neat. Some like the punk and rock style and somethink it is nicetohave just jeans and T-shirt. Now itis modern towear transparent blouses, shirtstucked in pants, feathers in the hair, large rings, knittedshirtsand highheels. I usuallyhave transparent blouses, shirtstucked in pants, large rings and knittedshirts. It’salso morden withleather pants.

  4. SPARETIME Many play computer and TV games for example, World ofWarcraft, Counterstrike and RS.Therearealsomanywhoaredoing sports, football, handball and basket. I play handball and I love it, it’s so fun I think! At weekends youcan be withyourfriends and havesleep-overs! It’sveryfun! Many boys in ourclass play computer games afterschool, a lotof computer games and theyalso ”lanar”, whichmeansthey play computer games all night, withoutanysleep. A lotof the sparetime is todoinghomework and studing for tests which I don’t like it thatmuch.

  5. SPARE TIME When I come home I do my homeworkand afterthat I do something I like, for example, I amwith my friends or play handball. Sometimesyou go to the town and shop withyourfriends. Manyyouths like the following stores to shop clothes in: Bik Bok, Gina Tricot and the biggestof all H&M. Theyare so goodwhenyouneedtaste for clothes.Sometimesyou just simplystay at home and talk, listen tomusic and just chillout.

  6. MOBILES, MUSIC & TV Today, almost all youngsters listen tomusic, everything from pop toclassicalmusic. I don’thaveany special music style, but I like Miss Li and the hitlistmusic. Most of Swedish teenageshavetheirown mobiles. We do not call ourfriends so muchtoday as wedidbefore, wesend text messagesinstead.I like watching TV and I thinkmanywillagreewithmeaboutthat it is fun. I like towatchPrettylittle liars, Idol, Top Model and handball. This is Miss Li and this is oneofhersong

  7. For 25 yearsago For about 25 yearsago the fashion was not the same as today. It was modern tohavewedges in the jeans, neon colors, sugar water in the hairto make it standup straight highfringes, bleu mascara, leg warmers and vests. Theywereoftenout in theirsparetime. Theywere a lot at the discos, listenedtomusic, werewithfriends and did sports. Earlier the youthdidn’thaveany mobile phones, so theycould not send text messages. So theycalled a lot from theirhomephoneand sent letters tomany pen pals. On the freetimetheydid not watch TV nor played computer games so often, as we do today.

  8. THE FOOD 25 YEARS AGO The foodwasn’t the same as today, theydidnthaveany kebab, thai foodor chinesefood. Theydid not eattakeawayfood as often as we do today. There were much smaller range of foods in the stores than there is today. There were three different kinds of yogurt, less different kinds of cereal, and there wasn’t ready microwave food.
