DESCRIPTION

The Applied Software Research Center (ASRC) at Athlone Institute of Technology focuses on applied research in data distribution and management for internal and edge nodes. Established in July 2003, the ASRC has secured approximately €1.2M in projects and currently has ongoing projects valued around €1M. With a dedicated team of 11 researchers and plans for future staff expansion, the ASRC collaborates with both Irish and international industrial and academic partners. Its core research themes include network design, data communication, and architecture for mobile applications.
