  3. Program assessment isn’t something you get done; it’s something you get on with doing. In most cases, the best program assessment involves embedded assessment. Program assessment data belong to the faculty; they are not to be forcibly used for personnel evaluations of any type. The process is the outcome. Guiding principles

  4. Generic steps in program assessment (1 of 2) • Articulate program goals / expected competencies. • Identify places in the curriculum where competencies are developed. • Adapt / develop tools & scoring rubrics.
