  2. Question 1 What type of government does Jordan have?

  3. Jordan is a constitutional monarchy country (it is ruled by King Abdullah II). There is also a government In Jordan. The king is the chef of State. There is also a prime minister and twelve governorates. Jordan gained its independence on May 25th, 1946 and became a constitution on January 8th, 1952. The constitution provides for three categories of courts: civil, religious, and special

  6. Question 3 Is consent of the governed an important principle in Jordan?

  7. The Executive authority is vested in the king and his council members. The king has the right to make and get rid of any laws. He is the one who appoints the members of the council and the prime minister. He also has the right to remove any one in the government as well.

  8. Question 4 Is there a peaceful way to change the government?

  9. Jordan’s government get voted in so the most peaceful way to change the government would be to vote for someone else. Striking is also another way to get people to hear what you want to say.

  10. Question 5 Do government leaders follow the rule of law?

  11. The king has the most power in Jordan. The court only has the authority inside the court, and laws, whilst the king has the overall authority for everything. The legal system is based on Islamic laws and French code.

  12. Question 6 Is the present government left wing or right wing?

  13. Jordan is more right wing because the government doesn’t have the most power in the country, the overall power rests with the King. The king gets the final say in decisions, not the government.
