Lecture Modes. Here at LHS…. Lecture modes are a regular part in the PAC usage. From district meetings, to band/extracurricular/athletic meetings, to teacher meetings, there are a ton of lecture modes where you can earn a lot of work time, and a lot of knowledge as well.

  1. Lecture Modes

  2. Here at LHS… • Lecture modes are a regular part in the PAC usage. From district meetings, to band/extracurricular/athletic meetings, to teacher meetings, there are a ton of lecture modes where you can earn a lot of work time, and a lot of knowledge as well. • In the next couple slides, EVERYTHING you will need to know for lecture mode will be discussed, and anyone will be able to run a lecture mode. :D • Here’s how you do it…

  3. 1 hour prior to start time • Open Back door to access PAC. (Mr. Redford or a janitor) • Turn on work lights (by the door) • Check on Production Needs (the lecture mode sheet) • Set up Podium (get from the sound room), & plug in Mic to stage right wall plug #1 in silver box. • Connect Computer Plug to Stage Front Wall Connection (if need be) • Open Lecture PA box & Turn on PA (should already be unlocked. If not get Mr. Redford or another PAC adult such as Mr. Doherty) Check levels, Lower screen if needed, Start Projector if needed, Make sure it is set to RGB 2 • Bring in Main Act Curtain • Use house light setting for size audience expected • Place the American and Illinois Flags at the Corners of the pit and check floors for any safety hazards and debris

Meet with the presenter • While meeting with them, tell them the following protocols: • Clarify Start time • Clarify Intermission (if needed/ check length) • Check of any changes from original documentation or other special needs. • Check on who will confirm with start time with someone that will ok lobby is clear enough to start • Inform them you will start timing and will notify them at 30, 15, 5, 2, “Places”, and Start Production minutes variable times. • That at start time you will bring house lights to ½ and then they will be permitted to begin.

  5. House Lights Control Full house- When people are walking in before the presentation ½ house- During a regular presentation, when a speaker is talking. ¼ house- ONLY during video/slideshow presentations. House NEVER should go completely dark/black. EVER!

  6. 30 Minutes Prior to Start time • Prop House Left Doors open with the Door Stoppers attached to the door. • Check with the presenter as to start time, just to triple check. • Once again, warn presenters at 30, 15, 5, 2, “places”, and Start Production, minute intervals.

  7. Intermission • If necessary: at intermission, put house lights on at full. • Depending on the intermission, you will warn the Client/ Presenter at • 15 Minutes (if a 15/20 Minute Intermission) • 5 Minutes • 2 Minutes • “Places” Minutes • Start Production Minutes

  8. After the Event • After the people have left: • Bring out Main Act Curtain • Turn off House Lights • Close & Lock Lecture PA box & Turn off PA • Raise Screen if used • Shut down Projector if Used • Put away Podium, and unplug Mic and wrap it up. • Disconnect Computer Plug (if used) from the front wall connection. • Shut down any other production needs. • Turn off work Lights • Lock ALL PAC door, to access PAC.
