  2. The Christmas decoration in Poland, both in rural cottages, manors and aristocratic residences, mostly appeared sheaves of grain, straw, hay, grain of flax, hemp, poppy, peas, beans. Sheaves erected in the corners or hung in the Chamber resolved, hay was placed under the table. Spreading straw on the whole floor or covered with her bench, which sits at the Christmas table. They did so to commemorate the birth of the Child in the stable and abundant harvest intentions.
