Most of the Major Unreached Blocs of Peoples Have a Culture of Worship Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists, for example, all have a culture of worship that has existed for hundreds of years. This culture of worship has helped define them as a people. Therefore, where possible, we retain these cultural forms of worship. The goal of our missionary work is to see them worshipping Jesus in spirit and in truth.
Example of the Apostle Paul Read Acts 21:17-24 and vrs 26 Paul knew that the New Testament had done away with the Jewish form of worship – as a means of pleasing God. At times however Paul continued to worship using external old testament forms and expressions. Why??? It was important, not in terms of Paul’s relationship with God, but with his desire to reach Jews for Jesus.
Contextualized Worship Service for ‘Muslim Believers’ Muslims are already worshippers ie. they have a culture of worship. Therefore we use forms of worship that are culturally Islamic. In so doing we are making worship, in spirit and in truth, culturally comfortable.
