  1. Home >> Plantar Fasciitis Massage in Houston, TX Plantar Fasciitis Massage in Houston, TX The fascia that we have underlying our skin and holding our muscles in place--keeping our insides in--is especially thick on the soles of the feet. Modern life means walking on sidewalks and roadways and the popularity of hardwood floors has led to an increase in plantar fasciitis. Our bodies have not caught up to technology--they think we are still running and walking on so?er surfaces like grass. The symptoms of plantar fasciitis are most commonly pain upon the first steps you take in the morning. It can be anything from a mild discomfort to feeling as if you've stepped on hot razor blades. It will ease up throughout the day as the fascia warms up and stretches out but periods of inactivity will start the cycle again. Plantar fasciitis is one of the easiest issues to fix with massage. It is not a comfortable fix, but it is e?ective. We strip the scars and bundles of fasica out of the bottom of the foot with a myofascial release technique called gua-sha. I personally have had this done and had immediate relief and have not had the issue again in the past 12 years. Occasionally if it is an extreme case, it may take up to three visits. Our Reviews "I had been having trouble with my feet and had been to a podiatrist, who is supposed to be a specialist dealing with conditions of the feet. The podiatrist diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis and told me I needed to be fit with orthotics. Based on his "expert opinion", I believed what he said and spent the nearly $400 to have the orthotics cast. This also required 3 visits to his o?ice to get all of this done. A?er receiving and wearing the orthotics for several months, the issue had not resigned. At this point, I happened to find an experienced massage therapist, one of the owners of this facility. I told her I had been having problems with

  2. my feet and told her the diagnosis I was given, by the podiatrist. She said, "I can fix that in about 5 minutes." I said "Really?" She replied "Yes!" Honestly, not really believing her, at the time, I let her work on my feet anyway. I'm not going to lie, there was some discomfort involved, as she had to break the fascia up from being in a bundle, but a?er a few days my feet were feeling as if they'd never been hurting before. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of her work now. I've also been seeing this therapist for other sports injury related issues as well, as I know I can trust her to get down to the root of the problem and get me back up to playing with little to no down-time." Cody E - Hou Cody E - Hou This treatment is incredibly successful--100% thus far--bit it is intense and can result in severe bruising.  It may be a week before the bruising subsides. Clients have reported a 90% to 100% decrease in plantar fasciitis pain within a day to a week a?er treatment.  Up to 4 treatments may be necessary.  Shown below are the most extreme cases.  As always there are no guarantees on the work.
