  4. One day Omakaya was walking through the park when she heard a chirp coming from the bush. When she went over she saw a baby crow with a hurt wing.

  5. Omakayas decided to take the bird home. When she went pick up the bird it bounced backwards. Omakaya got down on one knee and called to the bird. Slowly the bird cameforward until it was in her arms.

  6. Omakaya rushed home with the birds in her arms. When she got home her mother took the bird and wrapped its wing in a sling.

  7. A few weeks had passed and the crows wing was all better. Omakayas mother decided that they would let the crow free today. Omakaya couldn't believe her ears “ but he crow is mine it stays here with me” “ The bird is a wild animal “ replied her mother

  8. It took a lot convincing but Omakayas agreed to let the bird go. When they let the bird go it flew into the horizon till it was to far to see

  9. A few words about theAuthor. Cortney stark is in grade 8. She live in Fort St James. Her hobbies include reading and drawing. She wrote this book because she was hoping to get young kids into reading.

  10. This story is about a girl who finds a hurt bird and helps to make it better but when it comes to letting the bird go Omakayas not so sure.
