Why should I take the ACT or SAT now? The Top 5 Reasons are…

#5: Most colleges require a test score for admission Without a score, you can’t even apply to many schools

#4: You can take the tests more than once The better your scores, the more postsecondary options you have

#3: You’re as ready as you’ll ever be ACT and SAT test you on high school content knowledge such as reading, writing, math and science. As a senior, you’ve been practicing this knowledge for 12 years. Taking the test now means you’ll do your best. Scores are good for up to 5 years. After you graduate, you will slowly forget everything you learned unless you keep practicing. Putting off taking the test means you’ll have to study harder later to get the same score.

What is a subject test? a multiple-choice standardized tests given on individual subjects, usually taken to improve a student's credentials for admission to colleges in the United States. Students typically choose which tests to take depending upon college entrance requirements for the schools to which they are planning to apply. Every test is now a one-hour timed test. A student may take up to three SAT Subject Tests on any given date at a flat rate $21 (+$28 for international test takers) and $10 per test (unless it includes a listening portion, then it is $21 plus $21 per test). Most SAT subject tests are offered on the same day as the regular SAT. The language tests with listening are generally available only once a year, in November. CSNav How-to: Take the ACT or SAT Milestone

Your Portfolio Today, we’ll enter your ACT or SAT scores into CSNav. Start by clicking on Your Portfolio.

Your Portfolio > College Planning Portfolio Click “College Planning” here. Don’t click the “College Planning” icon at the top.

Your Profile > Test Scores Click on the words “Test Scores” to begin.

Test Scores Find the name of the test for which you’d like to enter scores.Click “Enter your scores”.

College Planning > Test Scores > SAT Next, enter the information from your score report into CSNav. Click “Save” when you are done. Don’t forget to click “save” to complete the milestone

College Planning > Test Scores After you save, your scores will show up on the Test Scores page, and you will receive a check mark for the milestone, Take the ACT or SAT. You can enter as many scores for as many tests and test dates as you like.

Your Planning Milestones To see your checkmark, go back to “Home” by clicking on the icon on the top of the page. Then, click “Your Planning Milestones” to see your checkmarks.
