This study examines the force-displacement characteristics of hand prosthetic devices, comparing their performance with and without a cosmetic glove. Specifically, it highlights testing conducted on the Becker Imperial hand, which was evaluated without a glove. The findings contribute to the understanding of efficiency in voluntary opening (SVO) mechanisms for hand and hook prosthetic devices, based on 24 years of development, and published in the Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development.
