  1. The Tribal People The conflicts, problems plus more that affect the tribal people.

  2. Ecotourism • Some tourist companies make their people live in tents or they borrow our houses. • Other companies use modern buildings which don’t suit the countryside.

  3. Tribal thoughts. The tribal people do not like people chopping down the rainforests because they believe that they are destroying their homes.

  4. The Main Conflicts • There are many different conflicts in the Amazon rainforest. • Some of these are that the Brazilian government are trying to get people in the forest.

  5. Conflicts • One conflict is slash and burn which creates space for us to farm. • Logging is one of the biggest conflicts.

  6. Cutting The rainforest. • Modern technology makes short work of clearing the rainforest, taking less than an hour to clear one hectare. • It seems likely that over 20 million hectares are destroyed each year. • At this rate there will be no rainforests remaining in 40 years.

Brazilian Indians • How do they live?Brazil's tribal peoples live in a wide range of environments - tropical forests, grassland, scrub forest and semi-desert - and have a wide range of ways of life. Most tribes live by a mixture of hunting, gathering, and growing plants for food, medicine and to make everyday objects. Probably only the uncontacted Awá and Maku are completely nomadic, they living entirely by hunting and gathering in the Amazon.

  8. The hunting equipment. THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN POISONED DARTS IN THESE BLOWGUNS. THESE BASKETS WOULD BE USED TO CARRY THE EQUIPMENT. THE PEOPLE OF THE TRIBES BELIVED THAT THESE OBJECTS CARRIED A POISON.

  9. Animals In The Rainforest. • All Animals are endangered by the cutting down of the trees in the rainforest. • Homes are destroyed by the cutting and their food is also destroyed. • If trees are destroyed then they will destroy something else infecting the food chain.

  11. The Tropical RainforestIS ENDANGED • Two hundred years ago rainforests covered about 1,500 million hectares, an area the size of Europe. • Now today only 900 million hectares remain.
