Assistive Technology Devices & Services • Any item, piece of equipment or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of children with disabilities. • Any service that directly assists a child with a disability in the selection, acquisition, and use of an assistive technology device.

Missouri Assistive Technology The mission of Missouri Assistive Technology is to increase access to assistive technology for Missourians with all types of disabilities of all ages Missouri Assistive Technology is a state agency that provides programs and services that make AT more available. Whether it’s obtaining a no-cost amplified phone, getting low-interest financing for a stair lift or hearing aids. Trying out an augmentative communication device, iPad or more, MoAT offers a variety of options for accessing AT. • Individuals access MoAT to: • Borrow and try out AT devices • Get a hands-on demonstration of AT devices • Find gently-used DME items • Receive adaptive telephone equipment • Receive adaptive equipment/software to access the Internet • Finance AT • Receive Training • To learn about AT Resources
