  19. To begin I’ll tell you a little about me. I am a mammal and a large cat. I am a Siberian tiger, but I am also known as an Amur tiger. My full name is Pantheratigrisaltaica, but I prefer Whiskers. When I grow up I may weigh up to 660 pounds and be over 10 feet long! When my mom has babies, called cubs, she can have up to six in one litter! I personally have five other siblings!

  20. Now I’ll tell you about where my family, friends, and I live. I have friends who live in China and North Korea. I live in Russia in a forest. I have a large amount of territory to live in by myself. I need lots of land because sometimes there is not much food. So I need lots of land to hunt in, and these woods are perfect. Grassy in the summer and snowy in the winter. The area colored yellow is where Siberian tigers are most commonly found. This is a picture of my country, Russia. The darker colored area labeled Siberia is my country. This is a birch forest like the one I live in.

  21. Do you have a favorite food? I sure do. I like to eat elk and wild boar. I’m a carnivore, which means I eat meat. Boy do I like meat! Sometimes I can eat 60 pounds of it in a day! I’m a powerful hunter, but not a man-eater as some people say. I hunt at night and my fur acts to help me match the trees and grass. Elk Wild Boar

  22. I have 30 teeth. My whiskers help me feel my way around. Most tigers are orange or reddish-orange with black stripes. My fur keeps me warm by trapping air. There have been reports of BLUE tigers! I walk on my toes which have big soft pads. I have four claws on each paw. My tail helps me keep my balance and communicate with other tigers. My body.

  23. Now I have to tell you something sad. I am an endangered species. A species becomes endangered when there are almost no more of us left anywhere in the world. There are only 400-500 Siberian tigers left in the world. There are many reasons why we are endangered, but the biggest problem is people who hunt tigers. Some people believe parts of our bodies cure illnesses. Also, our habitats are being destroyed. Now you can color a picture of me and fill in a worksheet!
