Introduction • VAIT was formed in the year 2003 with 23 members; Organized the very first Expo during Aug – 2003. • Monthly EC & GB Meetings were conducted in Conference Halls at hotels till 2006. • In 2007, VAIT rented office premises where EC & Emergency Meets were conducted. • In 2010, VAIT shifted to current premises spacious to accommodate 50+ persons. All our meetings henceforth are conducted in our VAIT office except for Special Meetings and Training Programs.

  3. About Our City Vellore Municipal Corporation was constituted as early as 1866 and it has been upgraded as Corporation from 01.08.2008 Area: 11.65 Sq.Km. Population: 1,85,895 (2011 Census) Soldiers’ Memorial Pillar Hill - Fort Govt. Museum Clock Tower Ancient Memorials

Activities • New board installation function in the presence of Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Vice-President, Confed-ITA and Mr. Balakrishnanof Erode Association delivered an excellent speech on Business administration. • VAIT Expo in association with DinamalarInaugurated by Mr. Muthusamy President, Confed-ITA. • In support for the Cause of Mr. Anna Hazare against corruption, we conducted One day fasting, and closed the shutters of our shops for the day.

Activities • Organized Personality Development program delivered by a professional trainer from JCS. • Conducted an out door meeting at Kolli Hills with a stay and outing for 2 days. • Realizing the Road Safety Measures, VAIT Organized for a Road Safety Program, addressed by the Regional Transport Officer & Inspectors who delivered an eye opening speech on Road Safety. • On the same day VAIT sponsored and issued a free helmet to all the members and instructed the members to wear the helmet, while driving.

Activities • VAIT added 2 Lakhs insurance to the members over and above 3 Lakhs contributed by Confed • Fund of Rs. 35,000.00 to the Parent of the deceased member Mr. Sornaganesh • Fund of Rs. 25,000.00 to the family of the deceased member of Tirupur, Mr. Stephenraj • Fund of Rs. 10,500.00 to the aid of Cancer treatment of for Mr. Hemnath (4 years) admitted in CMC hospital. • VAIT Joined hands with Microsoft against Piracy and announced the same at the meeting organized by Microsoft at Coimbatore.
