  1. Hi, I wanted to share with you a bit about why we produced our summer season reading program. For me, it was since of my trainees. Over the years of teaching in my personal learning center, parents would bring their kids to me that were behind in reading and spelling. https://asia.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ https://clients1.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ In some cases they were simply a bit behind, in some cases they were method behind, and sometimes they were at grade level and simply wished to progress much faster. Often this was because the students had discovering problems like dyslexia and ADHD. Other times, this was just due to the fact that the instructors did not teach all of the particular skills required to read. There is a science-proven, step-by-step manner in which all reading program with spelling and phonics Rockford - IL state children can succeed with reading. Sadly, instructors themselves typically are not taught how to teach kids in this way. https://cse.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ https://cse.google.com/url?sa=t&url=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ The issue was that I was only able to see them for an hour at a time and just two times a week. How could I get these students' abilities up while not simply offering a band-aid solution? Traditional tutors often just deal with homework. Regrettably, this does not deal with the origin of students' problems and does not actually get their abilities up. So, I went to the research study and what I gained from my mentors in my early years of teaching. I discovered that brief activities often produce much better outcomes than long labored work. I found that mentor in an organized and structured way to target each location of reading and spelling worked. https://ditu.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ https://ipv4.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ I found that brief everyday fluency practice assists all trainees check out faster, more properly, and inherently improves their comprehension abilities. I found that utilizing graphic organizers helps trainees discover the main point and information, series events, and organize their thoughts to improve their comprehension. Students might lastly comprehend and imagine what

  2. they check out. I found that a lot of words in English follow 8 particular spelling patterns and when you learn the patterns, spelling becomes easier and spelling finally makes good sense. I discovered that brain-body activities enhance neuroplasticity and translate to making learning much easier in all areas. I found that executive function abilities were frequently not taught in school. These skills are so important, not simply with preparing for school projects but in life. https://ipv4.google.com/url?sa=t&url=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ https://plus.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ I discovered that teaching through our senses (hearing, seeing, and doing) enhanced their reading and spelling skills faster. It did not matter if they had discovering difficulties or if they were just simply seeking to advance much faster. I create a program of these findings into brief 5-20 minute daily activities that I could do with my students. It wasn't long before my trainees and moms and dads started seeing significant results. Trainees that lagged by 1- 2 years frequently got up to grade level in 2-4 months. Educators started to ask what I was making with these kids. Parents would like to know what the magic sauce was. I understood I needed to make my program readily available to more students no matter where they live. I needed to make the program in a way that parents can do it with their kids on their schedule in the house. This is why I developed the summer season reading program. https://posts.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ https://www.google.com/url?q=https://kidsontheyard.com/summer-reading-program/ The program does take some involvement from a parent for grades K-2, but for grades 3-8, the majority of kids can do most activities in the program by themselves.
