Summary Implementation of the HIV/TB Workprojects has successfully started and targets fully met Project and WPP launched Involved partners are sensitised and fully committed Financial commitments are met Additional activities as inclusion of diagnosis for Hypertension, Diabetis, Hepatitis B, Cancer have started (mainly to broaden the approach and increase the VCT uptake) M&E system in place (Mapping ongoing) General HIV/TB documentation ongoing Project approach and first experiences shared on national and international level
Way Forward Further activities in active case finding needed (staff often diagnosed too late) Further activities in the area of Stigma reduction needed Inclusion of supply chain and community HIV Workplace Focal Persons should be more motivated by the management (full time HIV/TB Coordinator) Lack of commitment of some heads of stations, therefore top-management should address the issue Further promotion of the Health Insurance Scheme Linkages to high-risk groups have to be explored Possible extension to a preventive health policy Ways should be explored to establish more ppp-projects
