New Developments in JVCS • High Definition (HD) videoconferencing • Higher resolution and better picture quality mean: • Less eye and mental fatigue • Easier to maintain attention and focus in meeting • Enhanced clarity with natural movement leads to: • Crisper images • Better experience for large groups and classrooms • Sharper, more true-to-life colours means: • Better interaction during colour-critical conferences • Streaming live videoconferences • Only live conferences may be streamed – they may be recorded at the same time when the recording service is live • Anticipated to be available during Q2/Q3 of this year
New Developments in JVCS • Videoconference recording • Currently in pilot • Service available via JVCS Booking System • Various file formats and resolutions available • Recordings available for download for 2 weeks • Desktop videoconferencing software and hardware evaluations through VTAS • 12 desktop vc software products will be evaluated this year: 6 h.323 standards based – 6 non-standards based • 10 desktop vc hardware products will be evaluated this year, including USB echo cancellers.
