  5. Comprehensive • Scholastic - Subject specific areas. • Co-Scholastic – • Life skills, Work experience , Visual and • Performing Arts and Attitudes ,Values and • other Co Curricular activities • Includes a variety of tools and techniques • for assessment of the learners. tisvv

  8. CLASSES VI- VIII An academic year will have 2 terms - FIRST TERM : April to September SECOND TERM: October to March tisvv

  9. Each term will have two formative assessments & one summative assessment in each subject. tisvv

  10. Assessment - Design FINAL Assessment- FA1+ FA2+ FA3+ FA4 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40 SA1+ SA2 30 + 30 = 60 TOTAL 40 + 60 = 100 tisvv

  11. FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT (FA) • Will comprise of : • Class work • Homework/ Educosoft • Oral questions • Quizzes • Projects • Assignments/Tests • Role Play • Seminar • Group Discussions • Presentations • Movie making tisvv

  12. SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT(SA) Will be End of Term Examination: Summative Assessment –I in September (TERM-I) Summative Assessment –II in March (TERM-II) • Basic concepts in all the subjects studied in Term-I will be • tested in Term-II also. tisvv

  13. Performance will be assessed using conventional numerical marking and these will be converted into grades. Grades on a 9 point scale will be awarded for the Scholastic Areas. Evaluating Co- Scholastic Areas • Anecdotal Records • An anecdotal record is the observed behaviour of a • student. • It is a record of some significant episode that happened in • the life of the student and which sheds light on the • conduct, thinking, skills and capabilities, revealing • significant features and characteristics about his/her • personality. TO ACHIEVE BETTER ACADEMIC STANDARDS WE HAVE INTRODUCED FOLLOWING INITIATIVES FROM THIS SESSION: • Flipped Class - to facilitate the same following resources are given to students: • RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS • To facilitate and support learning of students at home, two resources are given to students • Educosoft – on line resource with tutorials and assessments for practice. Advantage – students can revise the topics taught in school at their own pace and strengthen their concepts. • ChaloPadho – An online resource in Mathematics, Science and Social Science with activities connected to real life which will helps in clarity of concepts. • Students have been given the login id and password to access both resources. They should follow instructions given in the class to optimise the use of these resources. tisvv

Report book- Printed performance profile will be given twice in a year Once after the end of Term –I in the month of Oct (FA + SA- I) And second after the end of Term-II in March ( FA + SA- II) Parents will be able to access the result of their ward by logging in to Campus Care on regular basis and no printed report card will be given after the end of Unit –I and Unit- II. However there will be PTM to discuss your wards progress in school after both Weekly test cycles. tisvv
