1. Use Art and Craft Techniques to Win Prizes! During the Corona lockdown period best museum in Delhi– Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) wants you to stay home, be safe, and be creative. For this purpose KNMA that is famous for its world- class painting exhibition in Delhi is hosting online workshops and art contests. “Our idea is to shine a light on the noble task of volunteering. The focus is to bring the liberating spirit of creativity, which is our preoccupation, to honor the heroic efforts of our public health professionals,” said KNMA Founder and Chairperson, Kiran Nadar. In a series of activities, the best museum in Delhi– Kiran Nadar Museum of Art has initiated a unique art competition for housebound students to showcase their art and craft techniques through a ‘Mask-a-thon’ contest. The contest puts the ubiquitous protective cover at its very heart. This initiative is also an effort to help encourage children to use their creativity, and not allow the lockdown to diminish student’s engagement with the arts. Thus, the competition challenges school children to use the mask as a canvas for their creative effort. The choice of the mask is significant as it is one of the main tools being used to combat the virus. It also serves to highlight the key role played by healthcare workers in managing the pandemic. The winning works will be printed on the masks and showcased for the world to view. This competition is open for budding young artists in two age groups – Junior (Born on or after Jan 1, 2009) and Senior Category (Born between Jan 1, 2002, and Dec 31, 2008).
