3. I didn’t realize that many or some ethnic people harbored such deep seated feelings against white people. • Reading and researching some of the happenings and confrontations that black people faced was a reminder of how far back the problems go. Prejudice and Racism Growing up Caucasian in Utah

Some white people simply do not grasp what the situation is like for African Americans and other ethnic groups. • Segregation, discrimination and hate were a part of the African American persons life almost everywhere in the U.S. since before the 70’s.
