  3. Light Reflection - light “bouncing” off a surface

  4. 2 Kinds of Reflection Regular - reflection off a smooth surface (i.e. mirror)

  5. 2 Kinds of Reflection Diffuse - reflection off an irregular surface (i.e. foil)

  6. Reflection Mirror - smooth surface that reflects light

  7. 3 Types of Mirrors 1. Plane - smooth, flat surface

  8. 3 Types of Mirrors 2. Concave - smooth, curved inward

  9. 3 Types of Mirrors 3. Convex - smooth, curved outward

  10. Refraction Refraction - bending of light due to change in speed - when passing between different types of material

  11. Refraction Prism - a device used to refract light into the colors of the rainbow (ROYGBV)

  12. Lenses Lens - transparent material that refracts light
