The Student Organization of Clinical Laboratory Science (SOCLS) is dedicated to promoting the value of our profession within the medical community while fostering interactions with other medical professionals. Our officers play a crucial role, attending all meetings, fundraisers, and events. The nomination period opens on September 5th, with voting on Blackboard starting September 21st. Membership dues are $15 annually, and all seniors must pay again for reimbursement eligibility. Join us for exciting events, fundraisers, and professional development opportunities!

To be an officer… • This is not just a title • Officers are expected to attend ALL officer meetings and ALL general meetings, and ALL fundraisers. • If you have prior engagements (Work, other organizatons, etc.) ANYTHING that keeps you from doing your officer duties, do not apply to be an officer. • All fundraisers, meetings etc. are scheduled around our school schedule
When do you take over?? • 9/5- Nominations are open. Email Quyhn. Qutran@utmb.edu • 9/19- Nominations are due by midnight • 9/21- Voting opens up on Blackboard • 10/7- Voting closes on blackboard • 10/14 – Next meeting • -Officers are announced!
General information • SOCLS dues • - $15 a year • - when you are a senior you must pay your dues AGAIN in order to be a SOCLS member and be considered for reimbursement. • - CASH ONLY! • What to expect - Fundraisers, SHP carnival ?, bake sale, anything you can think of!
