  2. HY-1B Chinese ocean monitoring satellite HY-1B was launched April 11, 2007. COCTS, SST, CHL and CZI images are released daily now through their website (http://www.nsoas.gov.cn/ ) Data is free via FPT to access but need to apply. SST images 08-03-07-00:00 COCTS original image 08-05-15-03:47

HY-2 series satellite • Objects: • Global Ocean Wind Field monitor and Service for • Ocean Environment Forecast. • Global Ocean Topography Data, Sea Level and Gravity Field monitor and its Application. • Wave Field monitoring and Reduce Disaster. • All weather Sea Surface monitor and forecast the El Niño. • Sea Ice monitoring
