  2. Stage 1: What will students know and be able to do at the end of this lesson? Know How Chinese people greet each other when they meet for the first time and what questions do they usually ask Do • Exchange basic greetings • State and ask their last names and full names • State and ask their nationalities • recognize (can pronounce the character without pinyin and understand the meaning) these characters: 你,我,她,好,叫,名字,姓,美国,中国,西班牙,墨西哥,菲律宾,日本,意大利,法国,人. • Write their Chinese names, person(人), good(好) in • Chinese character

Stage 2: How will you know that students can do that? 1.students can greeting each other and exchange their names 2.students can response correctly when teacher asking who is.... 3.students can give a presentation to the class about themselves, the presentation including their names, nationalities and occupations(they knew student/teacher already). 4.students can use a survey to ask their classmates' name, occupation and nationality. 5.students can put the word cards in a correctly order when hearing the sentence. 6.Students can do the match game correctly 7.Students can read the dialogue in Character version 8.Students can write the characters correctly during dictation.

Watch teacher do demo conversation with panda bear puppet two times Listening and Speaking Practice 1.Student replace their names and then practice the dialogue with caterpillar model(considering the number of the class)

Watch teacher do demo conversation with panda bear puppet two times Listening and Speaking Practice 2. Student choose a partner to do the pair reading of the dialogue and use Vocaroo to record it or go to goanimate to creative a cartoon video, then post it onto wikispace.

Then post it to wikispace.
