  1. “So You Think You Can Act?” An “adaptation” of the modern reality show, utilizing the plot of Shakespeare’s Macbeth

  2. Your task • You didn’t know this, but the reality show So You Think You Can Dance is actually borrowed from Elizabethan times, when expert panels of judges would critique the acting of aspiring thespians. • You have been pulled backwards in time, and are now in 11th Century Scotland…

  3. Your task • Macbeth, an overly ambitious nobleman, has written to you, asking you to visit Inverness (his castle) to judge his acting ability. • You arrive just in time to experience and witness the events of Act II firsthand. How well does Macbeth ‘play the part’ of an innocent loyalist?

  4. Your task • You must grade Macbeth’s ability to “act” innocent during Act II on an A-F scale. • You must write a letter to Macbeth, telling him whether or not he passed his “stage test.” In the letter, you must tell Macbeth what grade he received. • You should discuss which lines or actions made him convincing as an innocent character, and why. You must also include the lines and actions that rendered him suspicious, along with an explanation of why. • MINIMUM OF FIVE QUOTES/ACTIONS in your letter
