Computers get “infected” by viruses by downloading something on the internet from an unreliable source, or attachments in email messages. Viruses can be disguised as attachments of images, audio, and video files. • When a computer is infected, the virus can do a variety of things. These acts include corrupting files, accessing your email, slowing down computer performance, or deleting everything on your hard drive. What is a Computer Virus?
