Enhancing Norwegian Biomass Value: Competitive Enzyme Development for a Bio-Based Economy

This project focuses on developing innovative enzyme technology to process Norwegian biomass, aiming to elevate the value creation in the bio-based industry. By optimizing enzymatic and microbial processes, we seek to harness resources sustainably. Collaborating with partners such as Biomega, UiB, and Borregaard, we explore novel applications for lignocellulosics and marine by-products while addressing ethical, legal, and societal aspects. With a budget of 55 million NOK, our efforts promise new opportunities for sustainable bioprocesses.
